Sec. Tillerson: U.S. won't set pre-conditions for North Korea talks


U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says the U.S. is willing to sit down with North Korea without any pre-conditions.  

Speaking on Tuesday, Tillerson said demanding Pyongyang end it's nuclear program so talks could begin was unrealistic.

While it's a sign the Trump Administration is willing to soften it conditions to open a dialogue with the Kim Jong Un regime, Tillerson also made clear the military option remains if all other attempts to curtail North Korea's threats and provocations fail.

US Congress expected to let Iran nuclear deal deadline pass


The US Congress is expected to let a deadline on re-imposing sanctions on Iran pass this week.

The deadline was triggered in October when US President Donald Trump refused to certify that Tehran is complying with the 2015 nuclear deal.

Pres. Trump says US military will be bigger & better than before

U.S. President Donald Trump has signed legislation authorizing some $700 billion in defence spending for the Pentagon.

The current law caps spending at $549 billion, but President Trump insists the American military must be "perfecto" and the troops need a raise.

The American president insists the money is needed to reinforce American military strength.

The White House insists that American immigration policy must change following the two terror attacks in New York City.

It's estimated the United States accepts about 1 million immigrants every year.

Statistics show that in the U.S., migrants are far less likely to be interested in committing acts of terror than U.S. citizens.

White House pushes back on suggestions, Pres. Trump insulted senator

The White House is pushing back on the idea that U.S. President Donald Trump is trying to silence U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand with sexist innuendo.

Earlier, President Trump posted on social media that the Democrat from New York was a lightweight and would do anything for a campaign contribution, including begging.

Senator Gillibrand has spoken publicly, saying it was a sexist smear and she will not be silenced.

Alabama voters chose their next U.S. senator

Alabama voters have until 7pm central / 8pm eastern (0100GMT) to cast their ballots in the special election to fill the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by Jeff Sessions, now the U.S. Attorney General.

Republican Roy Moore is locked in a tight race with Democrat Doug Jones, with many questioning principles over party affiliation after several women reporter, Roy Moore behaved inappropriately toward them when he was a 30-something single and they were in their teens.

Roy Moore continues to dodge those questions, saying voters should vote their conscience.

Internet Pioneers Weigh in on Net Neutrality

A group of internet pioneers has signed an open letter asking the US Federal Commu actions Commission to cancel a controversial vote scheduled for Thursday. 

That's when the FCC is set to decide whether to repeal an Obama-era law that protects net-neutrality.

Rights groups urge Myanmar sanctions over Rohingya crisis

A group of 81 human rights organizations are calling on the United
Nations to impose sanctions on the Myanmar government for alleged
abuses against the Rohingya population.

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is reiterating her call that U.S. President Donald Trump should be investigated, after 3 women publicly accused him of touching them inappropriately.

U.S. President Donald Trump posted a tweet attacking Senator Gillibrand, suggesting she is a lightweight and would do anything for a campaign donation, including "begging" him.

NYC bombing suspect charged with terror offenses

A former American soldier who defected to North Korea in the 1960s has died in Japan.

Charles Jenkins crossed into the North while he was stationed in South Korea in 1965 to escape military service in the US Army.

WH: NY terror attack shows need for tougher immigration rules


A 27-year-old man is in custody after detonating a pipe bomb device in 
what police are calling an "attempted terrorist attack" in New York. 

The incident took place during the Monday morning rush hour at one of 
Manhattan's busiest transit hubs. 

The suspect, 27-year old Akayed Ullah, and three other people were injured in the explosion. 

Ullah arrived in the U.S. from Bangladesh on an immigrant visa in 2011.
