Whilst the Russians are urging negotiations, the U.S. is raising the spectre of war with North Korea.

4 dead as Cyclone Ockhi crosses southern India

A high alert has been issued in the Indian states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu after Cyclone Ockhi brought with it high wind speeds and torrential rainfall.

Schools and colleges have been shut and all residents asked to stay indoors.

Croat war crimes prisoner dies from poison at the Hague

Slobodan Praljak drank poison in a courtroom at the Hague, after his sentence of 20 years in prison for war crimes committed in Mostar during the Bosnian war from 1992-95 was upheld by the panel..

An independent investigation is now underway into his death, after the Bosnian Croat drank from a small glass as the court looked on.

Three more Russian athletes get IOC’s life ban over doping

Bitcoin soars past $11,000 as concerns grow about speculative bubble
