Meredith Publishing to purchase Time Inc.

Meredith Publishing has confirmed a deal to purchase Time Inc. in a cash deal valued at around $2 billion.

The deal is announced just after U.S. President made many scratch their heads over a tweet claiming, he turned down being Time Magazine's "Man of the Year."

Prince Harry engaged to actress Meghan Markle

After weeks of speculation, it's official, Prince Harry will marry Meghan Markle, best known for her role in "Suits" a television show, in the spring of 2018.

The parents say they are delighted and wish the couple a lifetime of happiness - that's both Prince Charles and separately, Ms. Doria Ragland and Mr. Thomas Markle.

The newly engaged couple answered a few questions during a photocall in the gardens of Kensington Palace.

Six Britons jailed in India win acquittal

Six British soldiers who were arrested by the Indian Coast Guard in 2013 have won an acquittal from a local court and will be released soon.

The six, along with 29 others, were arrested for illegal carrying arms on an anti-piracy ship close to India's coast.

Australian TV host accused of groping

Former Australian top rating television personality Don Burke has been accused of sexually harassing and indecently assaulting women who worked on his gardening program in the 1980s and 1990s.
The man who hosted Bourke's Backyard on Australia's Nine Network for almost 17 years until it was cancelled in 2004 says he's "deeply hurt and outraged" by the claims, which he says were made by former employees with grudges against him and were baseless.

London's Oxford Circus reopens after incident attended by armed police

On one of the busiest shopping days of the year, police in central London were called to one the capital's busy shopping district following reports of shots being fired.


Police had treated the incident as if it were terror related, but following an evacuation of the Oxford Circus tube station and a through search of the area, concluded no evidence to suggest there had been shots fired or casualties.


Shoppers fled the scene and were advised to seek refuge in nearby shops, the cordon placed around the area has now been lifted and central London is beginning to return to normal, as our UK Correspondent Natalie Powell reports.
