BORIS TO CALL IRAN OVER JAILED BRITON

UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson is expected to call his Iranian counterpart amid claims comments he made could land a British woman in jail for five more years.

Appearing before a committee of MPs last week Mr Johnson suggested Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe had been training journalists in Iran when she was arrested in 2016.

Her family claims she was simply on holiday at the time of her detention.

She's serving a five-year prison sentence accused of 'propaganda against the regime' and it's feared Boris Johnson's remarks could see that term doubled.
