EU watches as Czech billionaire seeks to form coalition after election win

The European Union is closely watching the fallout of elections in the Czech Republic after a billionaire who opposes further EU integration won the most votes.

63 year old Andrej Babis (aun-dray babies) took 30 per cent of the vote which means he'll have to form a coalition.

Spain's FM Warns Not to Follow Catalan Leaders

Spain's Foreign Minister is already warning Catalonia to not follow its regional politicians once Madrid takes over.

Senators concerned about US military commitments in Africa

The deaths of four American Green Berets in Niger have brought attention to the fact that more U.S. soldiers are deployed across the African continent.

U.S. Defence Secretary James Mattis answered senators questions about what nearly 1,000 U.S. forces are doing in Niger, with hearings on the authorization of military force coming up.

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham told reporters that this is all about the war on terror.

White House rejects idea former presidents criticzed Trump

The White House is rejecting the claims that former presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama have now publicly criticized the sitting president.

In separate speeches, both men referred to divisions, bullying and other specific policies of Donald Trump, and each said America is better than that.

Niger Condolences debate should have ended - White House

The White House is pushing back at the press for continuing to report on whether U.S. President Donald Trump's behavior during a condolences call to the widow of a Green Beret killed in Niger was appropriate.

During a remarkable briefing, Chief of Staff John Kelly made some allegations about Congresswoman Frederica Wilson which have been revealed to be false.

Pres. Trump praises UN after criticism

U.S. President Donald Trump is now speaking optimistically, praising the United Nations after repeated criticism.

German coalition talks begin

The three parties who will likely form Germany's next governing

UN: Rohingya refugees trapped at border awaiting entry to Bangaldesh

US Marks Liberation of Raqqa, But Soberly

US-backed forces have declared the liberation of the Syrian city of Raqqa.

The city was the de-facto capital of the so-called "Islamic State" organization for three years.

General Electric shares plummet on weak earnings

India tops list of pollution linked deaths globally

According to the Lancet journal, India accounts for 28% of the estimated 9 million pollution linked deaths in the world in 2015. Of these, 1.8 million death were because of air pollution.

US protests against far-right Florida speech

Hundreds of protesters have gathered in Florida to campaign against a
speech by white nationalist Richard Spencer.

Florida's governor declared a state of emergency ahead of the event
and extra police were drafted in.

The protests were larger peaceful, but came two months after far-right
clashes in Charlottesville, Virginia led to the death of an anti-hate
campaigner.
