Weinstein expelled from Academy of Motion Pictures

Disgraced Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has been expelled from the Academy of Motion Pictures…..the group that gives out the Oscars every year.


The Academy says there was an overwhelming vote by its Board to strip him of membership.

President Trump to end subsidies on Affordable Healthcare Act despite pushback

which had been put in place to help low income households.

India can't deport Rohingyas for now

The Indian Supreme Court has told the Indian government it can't deport Rohingya refugees till the hearing in the matter is over.

India has 40,000 Rohingya refugees and the government says it wants to deport them on grounds of threat to national security. Two Rohingya refugees have challenged the government's decision in the country's top court.

UBER FILES APPEAL OVER LONDON LICENCE

A leaked draft document suggests the EU will start preparing for trade negotiations with the UK - despite an impasse in Brexit talks.

On Thursday the EU's chief negotiator Michel Barnier spoke of a 'disturbing deadlock' and insisted it was not possible to move onto trade discussions after a key summit next week.

But a draft paper from the European Council suggests post-Brexit trade negotiations could open in December, if the UK improves its offer to Brussels on the so-called 'divorce bill'.

American-Canadian family rescued from Taliban in Pakistan
