Puerto Rico in crisis in wake of Hurricane Maria

Puerto Rico has no water, electricity or telephones services as it faces a growing crisis in the wake of Hurricane Maria.

The entire population of the US territory is still without power and engineers say it could take months to be restored. 

A dam remains in danger of collapsing and bringing more flooding to parts of the island.

Indian "godman" challenges rape conviction in high court

The controversial Indian self-styled "godman" Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh who was convicted for rape is challenging his case in the high court.

London Mayor Defends Decision Not To Grant Uber A New Licence in London

London Mayor and chairman of Transport for London, Sadiq Khan, had defended a decision not to renew hail-and-ride app Uber's licence in the capital.

Kingfisher tycoon Vijay Mallya reported to have diverted funds to shell companies

Controversial Indian tycoon Vijay Mallya - best known for his Kingfisher brand - is reported to have allegedly diverted hundreds of millions of dollars into shell companies.

Trump administration expands controversial travel ban

The Trump administration has announced an expansion to an existing travel ban- which now includes North Korea, Venezuela and Chad.

Senior administration officials say the travel ban will not impact anyone with an existing visa, and the new restrictions are not time-bound, but conditions-based.

The travel ban is being expanded just as a core part of the original executive order, is set to expire.

President Trump is closing America's borders to citizens from Iran North Korea, and Venezuela in a further revision of the controversial travel ban that he introduced earlier this year.
