US Secretary of Defense: " I agree with the president on NK"

The U.S. has been flexing its military muscle in the face of the mounting threat from North Korean- by flying bombers over South Korea, alongside its regional allies.

The demonstration of force wraps up military drills in the area- meanwhile the US defense secretary appeared to downplay an apparent rift with between  President Trump over North Korea.

Arrow Fired Into Oval Cricket Ground During Test Match

The UK's Oval cricket ground has been evacuated after an arrow was fired into the field, from reportedly outside the grounds.


Play was stopped between Surrey and Middlesex and police were called to the scene.

UK remembers Diana

The British Public is marking the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's death.


The Princess of Wales died in a car accident in Paris on 31st August 1997, aged 36.


She was admired by many in the UK for her affection for the public and her dedication to charity work.


Her sons, William and Harry have spent the day in private, but had been to see flowers that have been left outside Kensington Palace, where Diana lived for 15 years ahead of the anniversary.

Hurricane Harvey leads to rising gas prices in US

As the US state of Texas continues to reel from Hurricane Harvey, the oil industry has taken a hit.

The storm forced many oil refineries to shut down, which has led to  an immediate spike in gas prices across the country.

UN warn of heavy casualties in Raqqa

The United Nations human rights chief has announced that civilians in
the Syrian city of Raqqa are paying an unacceptable price.

Both Syrian government forces and the U.S.-led coalition are trying to

Brexit Talks End with No Breakthrough

The third round of Brexit negations have wrapped in Brussels without any major breakthroughs. 

The UK and the EU still haven't come to an agreement on three key issues: What do to with the border in Ireland, the rights of UK citizens living in the EU and vice versa, and how many millions the UK owes the EU for programs it already committed to. 

The most divisive issue is that so called "Brexit bill."

The EU's chief negotiator Michele Barnier told reporters after negotiations wrapped that the citizens of Europe should not be cheated by the UK.

French government unveils controversial labour law reforms

French President Emmanuel Macron's government is to unveil his much-awaited labour law reforms on Thursday - with major street protests against them already planned for September.
Macron's popularity ratings have already slid dramatically, down to 40% last week from 57% in July.

Ukraine to deport Russian state journalist for 'propaganda'

India sees surge in online searches for Blue Whale Game

India has consistently ranked number three over a period of a year in searches linked to the Blue Whale suicide game.

US military says it has thousands more troops in Afghanistan than previously reported


The United States has acknowledged that it has thousands more troops in Afghanistan than it previously reported.

US officials approve first gene therapy for cancer

For the first time, US officials have approved a gene therapy for cancer.

The treatment uses a patient's own cells to fight leukaemia and is seen as a major breakthrough in the fight against cancer.
