In Brussels the new week is starting with a new round of Brexit talks.

The week long talks will be the third set of negotiations between the EU and the UK.

Three Children Killed in a Raid on Farm by Somalia and US forces

Ten civilians, including three children were killed in an alleged attack by Somali government forces and US troops, south of the country.

The Somali army initially denied the killing saying the attack targeted members of Al qaeda, a terrorist group fighting to overthrow the government.

Ahead of godman's sentencing, three Indian states on lockdown

Self-styled godman Ram Rahim will be sentenced after his conviction for raping two women last week. 

Security in the town of Rohtak- where he is lodged in jail- has been stepped up. Shoot at sight orders have been issued as well. 

On Friday, his supporters went on a riot to protest his conviction. 38 people lost their lives in the violence.

Texas Governor tells people to stay in place, praises Trump's response to storm Harvey

Texas is bracing for even more unprecedented rainfall with some 50 inches expected to fall in the Houston area over the coming week.

Hundreds of thousands of people are without electricity, and 3000 national guard have been deployed to assist with the rescue and recovery efforts.

The damage to infrastructure could run in to the billions. FEMA, the Federal Emergencey Management Agency predicting the recovery from the epic storm could take years.

Donald Trump is scheduled to visit the storm zone on Tuesday.

Houston Mayor defends not evacuating area devastated by storm Harvey

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has been defending the decision not to evacuate the city's residents ahead of Tropical Storm Harvey.

America's fourth largest city had been deluged with 30 inches of rain and a further 50 expected over the coming days.

Mayor Turner repeated on Sunday that those stranded by the severe rain and flooding should remain in their homes and await assistance.

Turner cited what he called the "crazy" logistics of trying to plan an evacuation of 2.3 million people over 48 hours.

Chinese National Arrested in CA On Hacking Charge
