Gore says Trump no longer speaks for the US on the issue of climate change

Former US Vice President Al Gore says the current US President Donald Trump does not speak for the country when it comes to the issue of climate change.

Mr Gore is currently in the UK to promote his new film, "An Inconvenient Sequel", which is a follow up to his Oscar winning documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth."

Having previously held talks with President Trump about the issue, Mr Gore says he no longer communicates with the President who he accused of surrounding himself with climate change deniers.

Speaking to London's LBC Radio, Mr Gore said Donald Trump's decision to withdraw the US from the Paris Climate Change Agreement does not cause him undue concern.

India's Supreme Court says marital rape not illegal

India is among 49 countries in the world where marital rape is still legal. Now the country's Supreme Court has also refused to criminalise rape within a marriage.

The Court has said that the Indian Parliament has already debated the issue extensively and not found marital rape illegal.

The United Nations has often urged the Indian government to make marital rape illegal. According to the UN, 75 per cent of men in India expect their wives to agree to sex with or without consent.
