India's Opposition parties to skip GST launch

50 Indian political parties will boycott the midnight launch planned for the Goods and Service Tax. The Indian government has appealed to them to reconsider their decision.

The Opposition has called the event 'political gimmickry.'

The government claims that GST is going to be a game-changing tax regime that will make India one uniform market and do away with red tape and corruption.
