US President holds re-election fundraiser at Trump International Hotel amidst allegations over ethics violations


Ethics groups are accusing US President Donald Trump of conflict of interest violations after he held a re-election campaign fundraiser at his organisation's hotel in Washington.

Russian court convicts five men of murdering Boris Nemtsov

Fox/Sky takeover bid could face investigation

In another hurdle facing the Fox network's takeover bid for the UK's television and broadband firm Sky, the British Culture Secretary has indicated she will refer the deal to the competition watchdog.


Once the Competition and Markets Authority has been notified, it's likely to take six months before a decision is made

Merkel: G20 climate change talks will be difficult

Czech Republic works to allow citizens the right to carry firearms

Lawmakers in the Czech Republic are working to legalize firearms which goes against the European Union's gun control rules.

Jurors appear divided over verdict in opposition leader murder case

Following 2 days of extended jury deliberations a Moscow court is set to deliver the verdict in the case of the Russian opposition leader Boris Nemstov shot dead nearby the Kremlin in February 2015. Thousands rally against mob violence in India

Protests were held in 16 Indian cites after a series of lynchings across India. In the last 22 months, there have been 17 instances of members from minority communities being targeted by right wing groups.

Many of these attacks have taken place on the pretexts of saving cows. Hindus consider the cow to be their holy animal. Just last week, a 16-year-old was lynched to death in Delhi after a mob accused him of having eaten beef.

The Indian government has condemned the violence and has promised justice.
