Russia claims IS chief al-Baghdadi 'may have been killed' by its strikes

Russia's Defence Ministry says it's verifying whether the head of the so-called Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed in one of Russian air strikes in Syria carried out in May. The Kremlin said Russia's President and Commander in Chief Vladimir Putin is informed about the ongoing investigation, but refused to confirm reports of al-Baghdadi's death. Eurozone finance ministers agree deal for Greece

Eurozone finance ministers have struck a deal to unlock the latest chunk of Greece's bailout money - avoiding a fresh crisis this summer.

It's feared the final death toll in London's Grenfell Tower blaze may end up exceeding 60.

So far 17 people have been confirmed to have died in the fire that gutted a block of flats in West London.

Indian rape survivor sues Uber for breach of privacy


An Indian woman who was raped by an Uber driver in New Delhi in 2014 has filed a lawsuit against the company for accessing and sharing her medical records.

The lawsuit names the company and Uber CEO Travis Kalanick along with two other top executives of the firm.

The woman is suing the company for breach of privacy. The case has been filed in the United States of America.

Trump to unveil tougher restrictions on Cuba travel, trade

US President Donald Trump is set to unveil a tightening in restrictions on trade with Cuba, and an end to individual travel to the island.

US State Department used "quiet diplomacy" with North Korea on Warmbier release

The US State Department said "quiet diplomacy" helped convince North
Korean authorities to release Otto Warmbier, but that it was "not a

DOCTORS: Freed American Otto Warmbier suffered extreme brain injury, state of 'unresponsive wakefulness'


The American student recently released from North Korea has suffered extensive brain injury - according to the Ohio-based medical team treating him.

Otto Warmbier returned to the United States this week after over a year in prison - according to North Korea the 22-year old fell into a coma in March 2016.

After his arrival in his home state he was taken to the Cincinnati Medical Center.

Dr. Daniel Kanter says an MRI of Mr Warmbier showed extensive damage to the brain and that his current state was one of 'unresponsive wakefulness'.

NSA links WannaCry computer worm to North Korea

The National Security Agency believes that hackers associated with the North Korean government are behind the computer worm used in a worldwide cyberattack in May, according to a Washington Post report.


The assessment is based on an internal NSA analysis that points with "moderate confidence" to North Korea's spy agency.
