MANCHESTER ATTACKER 'BOUGHT BOMB ALONE'

UK police say they now believe the Manchester attacker bought most of the components of his bomb himself.

However, officers are still trying to establish whether Salman Abedi was part of a wider network.

Three men arrested in connection with the attack on Manchester Arena last week have been released.

First Pentagon Test Of ICBM Defense System Success

The U.S. military said on Tuesday it had staged a successful,
first-ever missile defense test involving a simulated attack by an
intercontinental ballistic missile or ICBM. As concerns mount over
North Korea's advancing missile and nuclear program, the US military
called the intercept of a threat-representative ICBM target a success
and said it's only part of a broader set of tools the US can use to
protect its mainland.

US military says it is now arming Kurdish forces in Syria



The US military says it is now arming Kurdish YPG forces in Syria as they battle to retake Raqqa from the Islamic State.

The United States has decided not to introduce a cabin baggage ban on laptops on flights from Europe - for now.

Pres. Trump's position on climate change unclear

U.S. President Donald Trump's position on climate change remains unclear, despite him promising a decision on whether to remain in the Paris climate pact this week.

Trump Admin singling out Iran as threat

The Trump administration appears to be singling out Iran as the key threat in the Middle East, putting aside concerns about others, such as Saudi support for militant Islam.

Syrian rebels are telling Reuters they are receiving more support from the U.S. and allies to prevent Iran from forming an overland route to supply the Assad regime, as part of a "Shi'ite crescent" stragegy for Tehran.
