US Dept. of Justice tightens language for Executive Order on "Sanctuary Cities"

INTRO:
US Attorney General Jeff Sessions has issued a Justice Department memo
which limits the scope of the federal financial grants to communities
designated as "sanctuary cities."

The memo falls in line with a presidential executive order calling for
federal funding to be stripped from cities that do not comply with
immigration orders.

Apple and Nokia settle patent dispute

Apple and Nokia have agreed to co-operate after the two companies
settled a patent dispute.

Nokia sued Apple back in December accusing them of breaching 32
patents relating to the technology used in smartphones.

US kills 7 Al-Qaeda militants in Yemen

America's top intelligence official won't comment on whether President asked him to deny evidence of Russian collusion in election

America's top intelligence official has declined to comment on a report that President Donald Trump asked him to publicly deny evidence of collusion during the 2016 election.

The Washington Post article said that Trump made the request after then-FBI Director James Comey disclosed that the bureau was investigating potential coordination between the Trump campaign and Russian officials.

During an appearance at the Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats said he would not discuss it

US stands by UK after Manchester terror attack

Prime Minister Theresa May says it will be hard to comprehend the warped mind of the suicide bomber who killed at least 22 people and left dozens more injured.

ISIS is now claiming responsibility for the suicide attack in Manchester that has killed at least 22 people and left 59 hospitalized.

8-year-old girl confirmed among dead in Manchester attack, several still missing


It's now been confirmed an 8-year old girl was among those killed in Monday's suicide attack in Manchester.

12 children are among the 59 injured, with a number of people still unaccounted for.

Local officials are advising people looking for the missing to go to Manchester's Etihad soccer stadium.

Indian Army rewards officer who used civilian as human shield

A military officer who is accused of using a civilian as a 'human shield' has been awarded by the Indian army for his efforts in counter-insurgency operations.

The officer reportedly tied a civilian to an Army vehicle to defend his convoy from civilians pelting stones. The Army says the reward is not linked to this incident, which is still being probed.

At least 22 people have been killed and 59 injured in a terrorist attack in Manchester in the UK.

An explosion at the end of an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena led to chaos as people left the venue.
