Brazil: Corruption scandal threatens President Temer

Brazilians are calling for President Michel Temer to step down after the release of an audio recording where Mr. Temer appears to be discussing bribing a witness.

President Temer has denied the accusations and, in a televised address to the nation, said that he would not resign.

Rolf Harris leaves prison to attend trial Monday



Disgraced television personality Rolf Harris has been released on bail from prison, to attend a fresh trial over allegations of historic indecent assault.


Mr Harris is expected to appear before Southwark Crown Court on Monday, previously in the trial he had appeared via video link

Sweden's Top Prosecutor Explains Why Assange Investigation Dropped

Swedish prosecutors have dropped it's rape investigation into Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

Mr. Assange has been living in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for the past five years to avoid being extradited to Sweden.

But despite the investigation being closed, Mr. Assange will likely continue living in the embassy for some time. 

London police say if he steps out, they'll still arrest him on the lesser charge of failing to surrender to a court.

Sweden's Chief Prosecutor Marianne NY—speaking through an English translator—says with Mr. Assange held up in the embassy the investigation could not move forward.

Swedish Prosecutors drop Assange investigation

Prosecutors in Sweden have decided to drop their rape investigation into the Wikileaks' founder, Julian Assange, which has seen hime holed up in London's Ecuadorian embassy since 2012 in order to avoid extradition.


Mr Assange has long believed that if extradited to Sweden, he would then be sent to the US where he faces charges of leaking thousands of secret US military files.

Netflix booed in Cannes

Netflix's debut screening at the Cannes Film Festival had to be stopped in the first few minutes after it was shown in the wrong aspect ratio and audiences booed.

Made in India iPhone to hit stores this month

Apple's maiden production unit in India has finished manufacturing the first batch of locally made iPhones. These phones are now on trial and the India made iphone SE smartphones are expected to go on sale as early as next week.

Russia confirms former deputy Defence Minister as next ambassador to US

US: Immigration-related arrests surge in 2017

according to a study was released on Wednesday by Immigration Control
Enforcement or ICE.

ICE arrested an average of 400 undocumented people per day, with

No, there was no collusion - Pres. Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump is flatly denying that there was any collusion between himself, his campaign and the Russians.

He's denounced the appointment of Robert Mueller as a special counsel, while U.S. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has indicated, the investigation into meddling is heading in the direction of criminal charges.

The special counsel was appointed after President Trump fired James Comey as FBI director, and President Trump flatly told Peter Baker of the New York Times, no, he fired James Comey because he was incompetent.

US Police Officer Acquitted in Death of Unarmed Black Man

A jury in the US state of Oklahoma has found a white policewoman not
guilty of manslaughter over the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man

Russia investigations move into criminal phase

Robert Mueller, the newly appointed special counsel, may end up filing criminal charges as he pursues the investigation into Russian meddling into the 2016 election and possibly influence on Trump insiders.

Deputy U.S. Attorney General Rod Rosenstein briefed the U.S. Senate after making the surprise announcement.

The U.S. Senate's Judiciary and Intelligence Committees continue to pursue their own line of public inquiry.
