Pres. Trump tries to focus on terrorism with Pres. Erdogan

U.S. President Donald Trump wanted to focus on the common battle against terrorism in his joint statements with Turkish President Tayyip Recep Erdogan.

Washington's relationship wth Ankara is in poor shape after the Trump administration decided to arm groups of Syrian Kurds, groups which are considered terrorists by Turkey, and are part of a Kurdish independence movment which could change the region's geography.

Syria gov denies US claims it was incinerating executed inmates at Sednaya military prison

The Syrian government has dismissed US claims that it had built a crematorium at one of its prisons to incinerate executed prisoners.


The Trump administration said it believes the Bashar Al Assad government had burned the bodies to hide evidence of atrocities.

Trump calls controversial Russia meeting "very very successful"

President Trump is refusing to comment on whether he shared highly classified intelligence with the Russian Foreign Minister during an Oval Office meeting last week.


But the White House says his conversations were "wholly appropriate" and the President has described his encounter with Sergei Lavrov as "very very successful",

Great meeting with Russian Foreign Minister - Pres. Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump is only saying that he had a great meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Earlier, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster came out to say that it was a wholly appropriate decision for the president to discuss intelligence with the Russians, but also admitted the president wasn't fully briefed and may not have understood all of the classifications.

In his first on-the-record comments since the Washington Post story broke, U.S. President Donald Trump spoke in generalities.

National Security Advisor defends Trump & says he didn't know source of intelligence

White House National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster has said that President Donald Trump wasn't aware of the source of the intelligence that he reportedly told Russian officials.

Mr Trump tweeted that he'd shared "facts pertaining to terrorism and airline safety" and wanted Russia to do more against so-called Islamic State.

McMaster defended the President saying the information he'd divulged was "wholly appropriate".

U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed President Tayyip Recip Erdogan of Turkey to the White House, while ignoring reporters questions.

The White House has tried to counter the questions raised by the Washington Post's reporting that Pres. Trump shared intelligence with the Russians, by saying that it was a wholly appropriate decision.

At at time when American-Turkish relations are at an all-time low, U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed President Erdogan to the Oval Office.

US lawmakers urge Pres. Trump to take care

American lawmakers are urging U.S. President Donald Trump and more broadly the White House to take care, especially with intelligence.

The Congressional intelligence committees want to see transcripts of the meeting between President Trump and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Representative Adam Schiff is the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.

National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster told reporters that President Trump didn't even know the source of the intelligence he shared with the Russians.

U.S. President Donald Trump appears to have confirmed what was earlier denied, that it was within his purview to share intelligence with Russian officials.

The American president has been broadly criticized for sharing intelligence from a third party country with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster says the president wasn't briefed on the details and then left the briefing room quickly.

Trump appears to concede he shared classified intel with Russia

President Trump is defending his decision to share highly classified information with the Russians.


The President, on Twitter, claimed he has the "absolute right" to share information with Russia about terrorism and a threat to international aviation.

UK inflation rises to 2.7%

UK inflation has risen to 2.7%, its highest level since September 2013.


Price hikes in air travel, clothing and electricity were the biggest causes of the increase.

EU council president Tusk called to testify again in Smolensk plane crash investigation

President of the European Council Donald Tusk is being called as a witness in court in the case of the 2010 plane crash which killed the then Polish president.

Lech Kaczynski (leck  ka-zin-ski) and 95 others on board died when their plane came down near Smolensk in Russia.

Syria peace talks get underway in Geneva
