Campaigning begins in UK election
Campaigning has begun in Britain's general election which will take place on June 8th.
British MPs passed a motion on Wednesday, paving the way for the snap ballot after Prime Minister Theresa May reversed course and decided to go to the polls.
She's looking to increase her parliamentary majority ahead of complex Brexit negotiations with European Union leaders, while also keeping the anti-Europe wing of her party in line.
However Mrs May is facing criticism for refusing to take part in televised debates for party leaders, saying she will travel up and down the country talking to communities.
In her first campaign appearance, Theresa May appealed for voter support ahead of the Brexit talks.

IMF warns Trump's proposed tax cuts, financial deregulation may lead to too much risk
Blaming Trump administration's measures, Emirates cuts flights to US
Emirates, the Middle East's biggest airline, is reducing its service to the United States because of "weakened travel demand" caused by President Trump's policies.
The airline says the Trump administration's threats to ban travelers from some countries coupled with fresh restrictions on the electronics that passengers can bring aboard flights means that fewer people are seeking to travel to the US.
