Opposition protests continue to mount against the government of Venezuela's President Nicholas Maduro. Protesters heckled the President and threw objects at him as he left a parade.

Syria under debate at UN Security Council

Trump reveals moment he told Xi about Syria attack

US President Donald Trump has described the moment that he revealed to Chinese President Xi Jinping that the US was launching a military strike on Syria.


The two men were enjoying dinner at the President's Florida estate last Thursday night.

Russian Pres. Putin, Sec. Tillerson meet

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, with Syria topping the agenda.

The question of a meeting was seen as setting up a possible major political snub, especially as President Putin repeated the claim that the evidence sarin gas was used in Syria last week was invented and the Assad regime was framed.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has apologised for his controversial comments about Adolf Hitler.

On Tuesday, Spicer claimed that Adolf Hitler didn't use chemical weapons in World War Two.

He was trying to make a statement on the brutality of recent chemical weapons attacks that the US believes were carried out by Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.

The comments triggered a media backlash.

But in an interview on Wednesday in Washington DC, Spicer issued this apology:

United CEO Says He Will Not Quit Amid Overbooking Scandal

Reports: Authorities probe Islamist link in Dortmund attack

According to media reports, German authorities are investigating Islamist links after a letter was found claiming responsibility for an attack on the Borussia Dortmund football club's team bus.
