Trump: US 'Will Act Unilaterally' on North Korea if Necessary

President Donald Trump has issued an ultimatum to Beijing - deal with North Korea, or Washington will take unilateral action.

Speaking to the Financial Times newspaper, he said if Beijing is not going to solve the North Korean crisis, the US would do so, but wasn't forthcoming on what such action might look like and whether it would involve a military option. 

The warning comes just days before President Trump meets Chinese President Xi Trump, for their first face to face meeting on Thursday in Florida.

Former Defence Secretary Ashton Carter told ABC's 'This Week' that any pre-emptive strike on North Korea's nuclear arsenal would be likely to be extremely violent:

US Pres. Trump to welcome Middle Eastern leaders

U.S. President Donald Trump is set to host key leaders from the Middle East, starting with  President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi of Egypt (Monday, April 3).

Protests are held in Russia in support of hundreds of opposition activists arrested the previous weekend during anti-corruption marches held across the country. Dozens remain in jail, including a prominent opposition leader who organized the protest. Trump targets trade abuses with executive orders

President Donald Trump has signed two executive orders aimed at cracking down on trade abuses and reducing the US trade deficit.

The orders were signed a week before Chinese President Xi Jinping visits the US, but White House officials said the measures were not an attempt to send a message to China.

Mike Flynn should testify

The White House says Michael Flynn, the former National Security Adviser who was pushed out over his questionable contacts with foreign governments, should testify on what he knows.

UN Secretary General Calls for More Aid For Mosul Refugees

The UN Secretary General has called for more help to be sent to people fleeing the Iraqi city of Mosul, which government forces are fighting to retake from the so-called Islamic State.
