BREXIT BILL ENTERS FINAL STAGES

A so-called Brexit Bill could become law later (Monday) allowing UK Prime Minister Theresa May to trigger negotiations on Britain's exit from the EU.

The legislation is being debated again by MPs, and it's thought they will send it back to the House of Lords without amendments for final approval.

If that happens, Theresa May will be free to trigger Article 50, kicking off the formal Brexit process.

Some MPs and peers want guarantees on the rights of EU citizens and a Parliamentary vote on any deal with Brussels.

But Lord Digby Jones believes they're using delaying tactics.

Trump Aides Attack Congressional Budget Office

Aides to US President Donald Trump have been attacking the non-partisan agency that's set to analyse the cost of a new healthcare bill, aimed at replacing President Obama's Affordable Care Act.

The Congressional Budget Office always gives an official estimate of the costs and budget impact of all proposed legislation, and it's expected to issue a report on the new Republican healthcare bill as soon as Monday.

The White House budget director Mick Mulvaney said on ABC's 'This Week' that the CBO has been focusing on the wrong metrics with its estimates on the number of people who are insured.
