Trump defends AG Sessions over Russia row

US President Donald Trump is supporting his Attorney General over
claims he misled Congress about his meetings with a Russian official.

Trump defended Jeff Sessions by saying he is "an honest man".

UK PM Pro-Union Speech to Scotland

Tanzanian Court hands poacher 12 year jail term

A notorious African poacher who was given the Swahili nickname for 'The Devil' has been handed a 12 year jail sentence.


It's understood the poacher was arrested and found with 118 tusks, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Bomb threat after German town cancels Turkish rally

Local officials in the German town of Gaggenau [GAH GA NOW] evacuated city hall after receiving a bomb threat.

US Attorney General Jeff Sessions has stepped aside from an FBI investigation into alleged Russian influence in the US election.

His decision comes after it emerged Mr Sessions met with the Russian Ambassador during last year's campaign.

Democrats are calling for his resignation.

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions says he did not discuss American politics with the Russian ambassador.

He has now recused himself from any investigation into possible Russian interference in the U.S. elections after confirming he did meet briefly with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

He now recalls the meeting in his Senate office as covering a trip to Russia over 25 years ago, terrorism and Ukraine, but not the presidential camapaign.

AG Sessions recuses himself from investigations

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is recusing himself from any role in investigations into whether the Russians had inappropriate contact with Russian officials. 

Congressional lawmakers are trying to find out how far American intelligence agencies and the FBI have gotten into their investigation into how the Russians tried to influence election 2016.

The Washington Post reportered that counter to what then Senator Jeff Sessions told the Judiciary Committee, he did speak with Russian officials at least twice.

He says he didn't try to mislead anyone.

NASA Buys Extra Rides to Space Station on Russian Capsules

U.S. Authorities Bust International Fraud Web

The US Department of Justice or DOJ has uncovered a complex network of
international fraud and money laundering that authorities say conned
six companies and over 170 people out of 13 million dollars. The DOJ
has been investigating the ring since 2011 and indictments unsealed
Wednesday reveal 16 arrests in the case.

Calls mount for U.S. Attorney General to step aside

Top Republicans are joining calls for  U.S. Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, to recuse himself from investigations into whether Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election.

However, they are stopping short of forcing him to quit, over allegations he lied under oath over his contact with the Russian Ambassador to Washington, last year.

Questions over the extent of the Trump administration's relationship with Russia, during the election campaign are threatening to engulf the White House.
