Democrats Call on Jeff Sessions To Resign

Members of the US Democratic party, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, are calling on Donald Trump's Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, to resign.

That's after revelations that he met with the Russian Ambassador twice during the election campaign - despite telling Senators during his confirmation hearing that he had no communication with the Russians.

European Parliament Revokes LePen's Immunity Over ISIS Pictures

The European Parliament has revoked French presidential-candidate Marine Le Pen's parliamentary immunity for tweeting pictures of ISIS violence. 

Le Pen faces the charge of "publishing violent images", which could potentially result in three years in prison and a 78 thousand dollar fine.

Brussels Conference Aims to Counter Slash in US Funding For Family Planning

Russia's FM says Syria talks must focus on reaching unified view on Syria transition period

Head of UN nuclear watchdog to discuss Iran deal at White House

Snap Set to Start Trading on NYSE

Oscar error accountants relived of responsibilities by Academy

Two accountants who were responsible for the wrong film being named Best Picture at the Oscars last weekend will have no further association with the event.


The head of the Academy says Brian Cullinan and Martha Ruiz have been relieved of their duties backstage.

White House Reportedly Wants Reauthorization of Surveillance Act

The Trump administration supports a clean reauthorization of the controversial Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, according to the news agency Reuters.
A White House official told Reuters the internet surveillance law is needed to protect national security.

Dow Jones closes above 21,000 for first time

In a defeat for the government of UK Prime Minister Theresa May, the House of Lords amended her Brexit bill.

The upper chamber wants guarantees on the rights of EU citizens, but the Prime Minister wanted a clean bill to advance the process of Britain's exit from the European Union.
