Dow Jones closes above 21,000 for first time

The Dow Jones Industrial Index has closed up above 21,000 for the first time.

The US markets have seen big gains since the elections and Donald
Trump's speech to lawmakers Tuesday helped give them fresh momentum
during trading hours on Wednesday.

Facebook uses artificial intelligence to cut suicides

Facebook says it is now using artificial intelligence to identify
members who could be at risk of committing suicide.

It says it has developed algorithms that could detect warning signs -
and then sends users information on how they could seek help.

Lords amends Brexit bill, defeat for May government

In a defeat for the government of UK Prime Minister Theresa May, the House of Lords amended her Brexit bill.

The upper chamber wants guarantees on the rights of EU citizens, but the Prime Minister wanted a clean bill to advance the process of Britain's exit from the European Union.

Snap Inc. to set its offering price before company goes public on Thursday

IAEA chief to discuss Iran nuclear deal with senior US officials Thursday

FTSE 100 shares hit record high

London's index of leading shares, the FTSE 100, has hit a record high.

Iraqi troops cut off escape for Mosul militants

Iraqi soldiers say they have blocked off the last remaining escape
route out of western Mosul for Islamic State fighters.

UN: Both Sides in Aleppo Committed War Crimes

UN investigators have said that both sides committed war crimes in the recent battle for the Syrian city of Aleppo.

In their latest report, they say Syrian government aircraft deliberately bombed an aid convoy, but also said opposition groups prevented civilians from fleeing by using them as human shields.

UK super rich numbers to grow faster than Europe



The number of super rich living in the UK is expected to rise higher than anywhere else in Europe over the next 10 years.


That's according to a report by a property consultancy firm. Although the US and Asia will see the biggest increase in ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

House of Lords could upset Brexit legislation

Britain's upper house in parliament looks set to give the government its first defeat for the Brexit bill, which paves the way for the UK's departure from the European Union.
