Resumption of Aleppo evacuations pave way for Assad to fully reclaim key city

Civilian evacuations and rebel departures from eastern Aleppo resumed Wednesday following a 24-hour delay, according to aid agencies and local media.


This final phase of the evacuations effectively pave the way for the Syrian government to take back full control of the former rebel stronghold.

USA returns land to Japan

U.S. rejects Kremlin claim that communications have frozen

Washington has rejected claims by the Kremlin that nearly all communication channels between the U.S. and Russia have been frozen.

The U.S. State department categorically disputed Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov's assertion that the two sides don't communicate with one another, and questioned what he meant.

Israel's Spacecom buying $161 milllion satellite from Boeing

Israel's satellite operator Space Communications has announced it's
buying a satellite from Boeing for $161 million. With the purchase,
Spacecom said it plans to launch a new telecommunications satellite in

Germany offers €100,000 for info on truck attack suspect

German authorities are offering a reward of one hundred thousand euros for information leading to the arrest of a Tunisian man suspected of carrying out a deadly attack at a Berlin Christmas market.

At least 19 killed by gunshots during protests in the DRC

The United Nations states that at least 19 people in the Democratic
Republic of Congo have been killed by gunshots during protests against
the country's president.

A further 45 people have been injured as people took to the streets
Tuesday calling for Joseph Kabila to step down from power.

Mexico fireworks blast investigated

Investigators are trying to determine what lead to an explosion at a
fireworks markets in Mexico that killed at least 31 people.

Another 70 were injured in the blast at the popular market on the
outskirts of Mexico City.

Child sex abuse scandal involving football club grows in the UK
