Report: Turkey Jails the Most Journalists

Turkey jails more journalists than any other country in the world—according to a new report done by the Committee to Protect Journalists.

Free press advocates say after this summer's failed coup—the Turkish government has tried even harder to suppress reporters.

New report warns UK government to have transitional Brexit "game plan"


British government ministers have been warned they must have what's been described as a "clear game plan" for a transitional arrangement for Brexit, as Britain prepares to negotiate with the European Union on leaving the bloc. 

A committee of the House of Lords is warning an interim deal would save UK firms from stiff tariffs and other trade barriers if a complete agreement is not reached in the two year deadline.  From London, Catherine Drew reports.

Russia and India to hold joint naval drills

Australian Taxation Office systems offline for days following crash

Australia's Taxation Office's online system has been taken down by a world-first glitch in its computers.
The ATO announced its website and other online services were not working on Monday morning, but the services were still down late on Tuesday afternoon.

Trump Appoints Goldman Sachs President As Advisor, Postpones Business Press Conference

Donald Trump has chosen the President of Goldman Sachs to be his top economic advisor.

The President Elect named Gary Cohn as director of the National Economic Council, despite repeatedly criticising the firm during his campaign.

Venezuela plans to pull its largest denomination bill out of circulation this week.
