Brazilian football team's plane crashes in Colombia

A charter aircraft carrying 81 people, including a top Brazilian football team, has crashed as it approached the Colombian city of Medellin. 

Colombian authorities say that six people were pulled alive from the plane, and one of them died on his way to hospital. 

So far ongoing rescue efforts have been hampered by bad weather.

Trump nominates health care plan critic to run key agency

Russia reports major breakthrough in Syrian Aleppo

Russia's Defense Ministry claimed the Syrian government troops have achieved a major breakthrough in Aleppo which has dramatically changed the situation on the ground. FOOTBALL TEAM'S PLANE CRASHES IN COLOMBIA

A plane with 81 people on board, including a Brazilian football team, has crashed in Colombia.

Some reports suggest there are six survivors after the plane reported electrical issues.

The chartered flight was on its way from Bolivia but crashed close to the city of Medellin in Colombia.

It was carrying members of the Chapecoense football side.

The South American Football Confederation has suspended 'all activities', including the fixture the team was travelling to.

Lufthansa pilots begin 2-day strike

German airline Lufthansa cancelled over eight hundred flights Tuesday as pilots began a two day strike over a wage dispute, their second in a week.

Earlier a Munich court rejected the airline's request to issue a temporary injunction against the walkout.

Phillippines' President slams Western 'threats' of International Criminal Court trial

Somali Refugee Behind Ohio State Campus Attack

Police have named a Somali-born Ohio State University student as the
person responsible for Monday's attack on the university campus.
Police say 18-year old Abdul Razak Ali Artan plowed into a crowd with

Bomb safely detonated near US embassy in Philippines

Police in the Philippines have safely detonated a home-made explosive

Reports: knife attack at Ohio State University carried out "by Somali refugee"

Authorities in the US say a refugee from Somalia was responsible for an knife attack on fellow students Ohio State University in Columbus that left at least 10 people injured.


The man was living legally in the United States, and was killed by a campus police officer.
