Boeing benefited from “illegal subsidies.”

Tax reductions given to plane manufacturer, Boeing, are illegal.

That's according to a landmark ruling by the World Trade Organisation.
The company had benefited from billions of dollars, from the US state
of Washington, so it wouldn't make planes elsewhere.

Frances Read reports from the USA's West Coast.

President Jacob Zuma's stay in office remains under scrutiny with a renewed demand for him to resign

Reports indicate Zuma faces a vote of no-confidence from his own party, the Africa National Congress, the ANC

According to some sections of South African media, critics pushing for Zuma's removal include senior officials of the party and some of his cabinet ministers

Some reports say that recent party meetings have witnessed a divided ruling ANC over the matter

Analysts say that while the South African leader enjoys some strong support of the ANC's executive, recent revelations have shown growing dissatisfaction from within the party

Zuma's presidency is no stranger to criticism especially from the opposition, who've in the past accused him of abuse of power and corruption.

SCRIPT

According to Police, King Charles Wesley Mumbere was flown to the capital Kampala shortly after he was arrested following the weekend clashes

Mumbere is detained  in an undisclosed location while a heavy deployment is maintained at his palace in Western Uganda

State media reports the cultural leader who is also known for criticizing the government could face treason charges.

Mumbere is suspected of having a hand in the violent clashes between Police and his royal guards that left over 50 people dead

Police say they have recovered machetes, knives, guns and ammunition from the King's palace

Several people have been arrested including a Ugandan journalist

Human rights groups and religious leaders have condemned the violence.

The Government says the fighting follows reports that some of the people involved want to break away from Uganda and create their own so-called 'Yiira Republic" - something the arrested King has denied
