Lufthansa pilots to strike for fourth straight day

Pilots at the German airline Lufthansa said they will strike for a fourth straight day in a dispute over pay.

It is the fourteenth walkout by the pilots' union in the last three years.

SHOPPERS HUNT BLACK FRIDAY DEALS

Shoppers around the world are marking what used to be a purely American retail event - Black Friday.

Coming the day after the US Thanksgiving holiday, Black Friday sees many retailers slash prices in an attempt to rack up sales.

In the UK Black Friday sales are expected to hit a record as shoppers look for bargains in the expectation that the fall in the value of the pound will see prices rise in 2017.

MURDER INVESTIGATION AFTER LONDON TODDLER DIES

Police in London have launched a murder investigation after a five year old boy died from critical injuries he received in a park.

A 38 year-old man has been arrested after an incident at the weekend.

The child died after receiving head injuries.

LONDON CHILDREN 'AT RISK' DUE TO POLICE FAILINGS

Children in London have been put at risk by 'serious failing' from the city's Metropolitan Police in the way it looks into child sexual abuse.

This according to a report by the HM Inspectorate of Constabulary which says 75% of cases were not properly dealt with.

It says the Met has often been too focused on other crimes to investigate reports of child sexual abuse adequately.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan says the situation is 'unacceptable'.

Moscow is preparing for Ukraine talks on 29 November

Ethiopia detains foreign pilots

The Ethiopian government is holding 20 foreign aircraft and their crew members for investigation after they flew into the South Western region of the country without permission. 


The members of the fleet were participating in a vintage air race across Africa that begun on 12th November in Greece. 


The Vintage Air Rally organisers say they believe the planes had permission to land in the The Gambella region of Ethiopia having flown from Sudan.

UKIP Leader warns political shift in US could come to UK

The leader of the UK Independence Party, Nigel Farage, has warned that a seismic shift is coming in British politics.


At a reception to celebrate his party's role in bringing about Brexit, Mr Farage told guests that in the US the revolution was complete with the election of Donald Trump, but in Britain  the carrier politicians are still in charge, but that he expects this will change.

UK gov defends economic forecasts amid row

The British government is defending the economic forecasts given in the Chancellor's Autumn Statement as pro-Brexit politicians criticise they are too gloomy...

EU and Ukraine to talk corruption and visa-free travel at summit

Members of the European Parliament set to vote to halt Turkish EU accession talks

Members of the European Parliament have voted to freeze talks with Turkey on the country's accession process to join the European Union. 

The vote throws the EU's deal with Turkey on tackling the migration crisis into question.
