After more than a year of campaigning, 26 primary and general election
debates, countless press conferences, public scandals, attack ads and
concession speeches, the American people have elected Donald Trump as
the 45th president of the United States. The billionaire businessman's
victory early Wednesday came amid a wave of support among blue-collar
and working-class white voters in a number of key battleground states,
including Florida, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and North Carolina.
