US Presidential Candidates Sweep Across Battleground States

As the US Presidential election campaign enters the home stretch, both candidates are making last minute pitches to voters in the all important swing states.

It comes as polls show the race tightening significantly in the past week, with several states that Republican Donald Trump must win shifting away from favouring his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

UK PM "confident" gov will win Article 50 appeal

British Prime Minister Theresa May has told the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker that she is committed to triggering Article 50 by the end of March next year, despite a legal set-back...

She says she is "confident" her government will win an appeal against a High Court ruling which said she cannot start the process of the UK leaving the EU without Parliament's support.

Venezuela military takes control of drugs supply

The Armed Forces of Venezuela are taking control of the distribution of medicine to public hospitals, the country's defence minister has announced.

Melania Trump promises safer internet if elected

Donald Trump's wife Melania has promised to help protect children from
online bullying and abuse if her husband is elected President.

Melania said people needed to find a better way to disagree and
respect each other rather than resorting to online taunts.

It is however something her husband has been criticized for doing
during this election.

It was her first appearance on the campaign trial since her speech at
the Republican National Convention in July, when she caused

Donald Trump has told supporters in Florida an FBI investigation in Hillary Clinton's time as Secretary of State is likely to lead to an indictment.
