Iowa police killed in 'ambush-shootings', manhunt underway


Police are searching for a suspect in the fatal shooting of two police officers in the US state of Iowa.

The two officers were shot and killed in separate locations in what authorities are calling ambush-style attacks.

Facebook halts insurer accessing user profiles

Facebook has halted plans for a British car insurer to be able to access young driver's profiles in order to set premiums...

US President Barack Obama has urged voters not to believe the "lies" about Hillary Clinton and look passed her mistakes. 

The President hit the campaign trail for his Democrat colleague, urging people in the crucial swing state of Ohio to vote next Tuesday.

It comes as new polls show the race between Clinton and her rival Donald Trump has tightened.

Blocked arms sale raises more doubts over US-Philippines relations

The US says it remains strongly committed to its alliance with the Philippines despite halting the planned sale of some 26 thousand assault rifles to the country's police force.

UN sacks South Sudan commander over response to killings

The United Nations has sacked the force commander of its mission in
South Sudan after a damning report found peacekeepers failed to
prevent the killing of civilians.

Trump's tax avoidance 'legally dubious', according to new report
