Microsoft Blames Russian Group For Hacking Windows Users

Software giant Microsoft says hackers who've been linked to the Russian government are behind recent cyber attacks that take advantage of a flaw in the Windows operating system. 

It all comes as the US continues to blame Russia for cyber attacks aimed at undermining its presidential election.

Australian immigration minister lambasted by former PM

Muslim protests expected in Indonesian capital Jakarta on Friday

Obama urges voters to overlook Clinton mistakes

US President Barack Obama has urged voters not to believe the "lies" about Hillary Clinton and look passed her mistakes. 

The President hit the campaign trail for his Democrat colleague, urging people in the crucial swing state of Ohio to vote next Tuesday.

It comes as new polls show the race between Clinton and her rival Donald Trump has tightened. 

President Obama asked voters to overlook Clinton's mistakes and focus on her accomplishments.

Blocked arms sale raises more doubts over US-Philippines relations

The US says it remains strongly committed to its alliance with the Philippines despite halting the planned sale of some 26 thousand assault rifles to the country's police force.

The relationship between the two long-time allies has been complicated lately by President Duterte's angry reaction to criticism from Washington of his violent battle to rid the country of illegal drugs.

More than two thousand people have been killed since he took office at the end of June.

UN sacks South Sudan commander over response to killings

The United Nations has sacked the force commander of its mission in
South Sudan after a damning report found peacekeepers failed to
prevent the killing of civilians.

Dozens of people died in July when government troops attacked a hotel
and a camp close to the UN compound.

Trump's tax avoidance 'legally dubious', according to new report

Polls Show Major Shift Towards Trump

New national polling data shows Donald Trump pulling ahead of Hillary Clinton with just a week left of campaigning.

Moscow says Syria peace talks delayed indefinitely

UN warn all sides in Syria may be committing war crimes

The United Nations has warned that all sides fighting in the Syrian

Trump moves into lead in post-FBI national polls
