Lost cause? US intel director on North Korea

The director of U.S. National Intelligence James Clapper told an audience at the Council on Foreign Relations that getting North Korea to get rid of it's nuclear weapons is probably a lost cause.

In Director Clapper's analysis, Pyongyang is sort of stuck on it's narrative, the regime is paranoid, they feel they are under seige, and requests to stop the nuclear weapons program is a non-starter.

According to the U.S. State Department, policy on North Korea has not changed, says John Kirby.
