UN says Aleppo siege amounts to war crimes

The United Nations is saying that the air strikes and siege on eastern
Aleppo amounts to war crimes.

The UN didn't name Russia directly but blamed the Syrian government and
its allies for the overwhelming majority of civilian casualties.

UN report finds DRC govt killed protesters

The United Nations says government forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo brutally killed at least 48 civilians.

The soldiers are accused of shooting, burning and hacking to death people who were campaigning against the country's President serving for a third term.

Italy has prevented the European Union from slapping new sanctions on Russia over the conflict in Syria as EU leaders are wrap up their summit in Brussels.

South Africa has started the process of withdrawing from the International Criminal Court based in The Hague.

In a UK by-election, Labour candidate Tracy Brabin has held onto the seat where Jo Cox was MP when she was murdered in June.

Tracy Brabin came home with 85% of the vote, with major parties not contesting the election after Jo Cox's killing.

There was also a by-election in Witney - the seat vacated by Prime Minister David Cameron who quit as an MP after losing the Brexit referendum.

Mosul Offensive ‘Going Faster Than Planned’ Says Iraqi PM

US tries to shore up Yemeni ceasefire

US hopeful for progress in talks on Syria
