World Health Organization to send 1 million doses of cholera vaccine to Haiti

INTRO:
The World Health Organization has announced it will send 1 million
doses of the cholera vaccine to Haiti.

The United Nations agency reported that cases of the deadly disease
had increased since last week's damage by Hurricane Matthew.

Russia's bombing campaign in Syria is being compared to Nazi actions in Europe in the 1930s, by a former UK cabinet minister.

Leaked figures suggest a so-called "hard Brexit" could cost the UK Treasury up to 80 billion dollars in tax revenues every year...

French president suggests International Criminal Court involvement over Russia's actions in Syria

The French president says there could be a case for the International Criminal Court to investigate Russia for war crimes for its actions in Syria including the bombings in eastern Aleppo.

HARD BREXIT 'COULD COST $80BN A YEAR'

A so-called 'hard Brexit' could cost the UK around $80bn a year in lost tax revenues, according to leaked government papers.

The Times newspaper reports cabinet ministers are being warned that if Britain leaves Europe's single market and adopts World Trade Organisation rules, economic output could fall between 5.4% and 9.5% within 15 years.

But Brexit supporters say the Treasury is continuing to use scare tactics and that these predictions are unrealistic.

SAMSUNG: TURN OFF ALL NOTE 7 PHONES

Samsung says all of its Galaxy Note 7 devices should be turned off as it looks into fresh reports of smartphones catching fire.

All sales of the phone have been stopped.

This follows Samsung's recall of 2.5 million Note 7s in September after customers complained they were exploding.

Samsung later insisted replacement phones were safe.

But new devices have since been reported to have started smoking.

Samsung shares fell sharply in Tuesday trading.

Sydney greyhound ban decision reversed

In Australia, New South Wales State Premier Mike Baird has admitted his government didn't give the good people in the industry a chance to respond before banning greyhound racing completely.
The State government has reversed the decision but has instead promised to introduce stronger regulations for the industry, including harsher penalties for animal cruelty.

Hurricane Matthew Leaves US But Destruction Remains

Hurricane Matthew has now moved out to sea, but has left a trail of destruction and power outages across the US.

The storm had already ravaged southern Haiti with around 900 people now feared dead.
