Russia accuses US of plotting to spare terrorists in Syria

Russian Foreign Minister claimed the US has not fulfilled its promise to separate moderate rebels from the terrorist organisations in Syria. The official believes the US had a plan to avert attacks on Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as al-Nusra Front) that Russia considers a terrorist group. Daria Bondarchuk reports from Moscow.

Trump Foundation 'lacks required certification'

Donald Trump's charitable foundation doesn't have the legal documents required to fundraise, according to official records.

Under New York laws, any charity raising more than $25,000 a year must obtain special registration beforehand. The Washington Post reports Trump's charity could soon be ordered to stop raising money.

US states oppose Internet management change

Four American states have filed lawsuits to prevent the U.S. Commerce Department from relinquishing it's role in managing Internet directories.

The agency manages ICANN -  Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers  - which is the group which assigns locator addresses called DNS - Domain Name Systems and the more familiar addresses - dot-com  / dot-org / dot-gov .

Hedge fund pays $400 fine for African bribery

New York based hedge Fund Och-Ziff has agreed to pay more than $400 million in fines after admitting it bribed officials in several African countries.

The US government estimates the company paid more than $100 million in bribes to gain access to deals and investments.

UN want investigation into Afghan airstrike

The United Nations has called for an independent investigation after a

Two stolen Van Gogh paintings recovered from Italian mafia

Two Van Gogh paintings stolen from Amsterdam in 2002 have been recovered by Italian police. 

Both works are described as priceless but neither one was insured at the time of the theft.

Investigators Look Into Cause of New Jersey Train Crash

Investigators in the US are trying to work out why a commuter train crashed into a busy station just outside New York City on Thursday, killing one woman and injuring over a hundred people.

The station itself is closed as authorities assess the structural damage, but experts are already looking through video evidence.

The crash occurred in Hoboken, New Jersey, and the state's Senator Cory Booker says investigators are following usual procedures, but a safety system called Positive Train Control needs to be put in place urgently:

primary win - claiming a victory in the first presidential debates, in
what he called a rigged system.

He's calling on voters to help take his "movement" to the White House
