UK, France and China sign deal on Hinkley Point nuclear power plant

Government ministers from Britain, France and China have signed a key contract for the $23 billion Hinkley Point nuclear power station.  

The ministers were joined by the boss of French energy giant EDF at the signing ceremony which was held behind closed doors in London.   From the UK capital, Catherine Drew reports.

Three Reported Dead, 100+ Injured in New Jersey Train Crash

At least three people are reported to have died, and over 100 were injured, after a commuter train crashed into a station on Thursday morning in the US state of New Jersey. 

Hoboken, around seven miles outside New York City, is one of the country's busiest commuter hubs.

Duterte declares upcoming Philippines-U.S. exercises 'the last'

Reports of Up to 100 Casualties In Train Crash Outside New York City

Major storm takes entire Australian state's power down

Power blackouts are commonplace the world over, and whilst it not out of the ordinary for a town, a district or even a whole city to lose it's power supply due to bad weather, an entire state is a different matter.
But that's what happen to the state of South Australia on Wednesday night after 150 kmh (95 mph) winds belted the State, knocking 22 high tension electricity towers over.
