Black child with toy gun shot dead by police

A 13-year-old African American boy has been shot dead by police in Columbus, Ohio after he apparently brandished a toy gun.

Officials have called for calm while they investigate what led to the death of teenager Tyree King.

The case is similar to the 2014 death of 12-year-old boy Tamir Rice, who was fatally shot after playing with a toy gun in Cleveland, Ohio.

Clinton attacks Trump for leading 'racist birther' movement

Hillary Clinton says Donald Trump owes the American people an apology for questioning the citizenship of President Barack Obama.

Mr Trump repeatedly questioned whether Obama was born in America, which led to the President issuing his birth certificate in 2011. 

In a speech to a black women's group, Hillary Clinton said Donald Trump had always led the 'racist birther' movement.

Assange Arrest Warrant Upheld

A Swedish Court has upheld the European Arrest Warrant against Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, over a rape allegation dating back to 2010.

Mr Assange has been held up in the Ecuadorian Embassy, where he has sought asylum since 2012, believing if he were to go to Sweden to face questioning, he would then be extradited to the US over leaks relating to confidential military files.

Julian Assange : European Arrest Warrant Appeal



A Swedish court will decide on Friday whether to continue to issue the European arrest warrant for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.


Mr Assange has been living inside the Ecuadorian Embassy in the UK since 2012, saying he believes if he were to go to Sweden to face accusations, he would then be extradited to the US over his involvement in the publication of thousands of leaked confidential documents.

DEUTSCHE ASKED FOR $14BN SETTLEMENT

Deutsche Bank says it has 'no intention' of paying a $14bn settlement demanded by the US Department of Justice over an investigation into mortgage-backed securities.
