Britain enjoys unseasonal weather with a 65 year high for September

Britain is experiencing its hottest September day in 65 years with temperatures reaching over 32 degrees centigrade (just shy of 90 degrees Fahrenheit) by the middle of the day.

UN Human Rights chief condemns Syrian government

Three IS suspects arrested in Germany

Three men have been arrested at refugee shelters in Germany on suspicion of being Islamic State operatives planning to carry out terrorist attacks in Europe.

Hungary should be thrown out of EU, says Luxembourg foreign minister

Luxembourg's foreign minister has called for Hungary to be expelled from the European Union over its hostile attitude to refugees.
Viktor Orban, Hungary's hardline right-wing leader, is strongly opposed to a European plan to force all EU countries to accept a quota of refugees.

ICC detainee and former Congolese warlord Bosco Ntaganda goes on hunger strike in The Hague

Bosco Ntaganda (prob: nn-ta-ganda), the former, Congolese rebel commander on trial at the International Criminal Court has started a hunger strike in protest of his conditions in detention in The Hague.

The court has restricted visitation and phone calls over fears of witness tampering.

LONDON UNVEILS PROPOSALS TO SAFEGUARD BLACK CABS

London's Mayor's unveiled a series of measures designed to safeguard the British capital's iconic black cabs.

Sadiq Khan says he'll boost the number of taxi ranks in London by a fifth in the next four years, and open up at least 20 more bus lanes to taxi drivers.

London's black cabbies have been campaigning for stricter regulation of the private hire vehicle industry because they feel they face unfair competition from services like Uber.

The Mayor of London says private hire drivers will face tougher rules.

Muslim community leader previously jailed over FGM bailed

In Australia, a former sect community leader jailed for at least 11 months over the genital mutilation of two young girls in Sydney has been granted bail pending his appeal.
60 year old Shabbir Mohammedbhai Vaziri was a high-ranking member of the Sydney Dawoodi Bohra community, and was found guilty last year of being an accessory after the fact, while a retired nurse and the mother were each convicted of mutilation.

Kerry Urges Parties to Adhere to Syria Ceasefire

The US and Russia will jointly plan action against militant groups in Syria, if a ceasefire deal is adhered to for seven consecutive days.

Trump Pounces on Clinton ‘Deplorables’ Remarks But Makes No Mention of her Health (WRAP)

Donald Trump has called on Hillary Clinton to retract her remarks on Friday night, when she called some of his supporters a 'basket of deplorables'.
