Further interrogations due Monday into Bali cop death

The boyfriend of Australian woman Sara Connor is expected to reveal the complete story about what happened on the night that a Bali policeman was allegedly killed by them, according to his lawyer.
Ms Connor and her British boyfriend David Taylor have both been named suspects over the death of Bali officer Wayan Sudarsa, whose bloodied body was found on Kuta Beach early last Wednesday.

Iraq hangs 36 men convicted over Speicher massacre

Iraq has executed 36 men convicted of their involvement in ISIL's 2014 Camp Speicher massacre in Tikrit.


But the executions come amidst criticism that the death sentences were handed out unfairly.

US condemns suicide attack at Turkish wedding

The Obama administration says it stands with the people of Turkey as they face all forms of terrorism.

Turkish President Tayyip Recep Erdogan says a young person - between the ages of 12 and 14 - was the likely suicide bomber at the wedding  in the city of Gaziantep - killing at least 50.

Trump behind Hilary Clinton in campaign spending

Zika spreads in Miami

The Zika virus is continuing to spread in the US state of Florida.

Authorities say two locally-contracted cases have been reported in Miami Beach, outside the designated "Zika zone" linked to more than thirty infections so far.

Up until now, only mosquitos from one Miami neighborhood were believed to carry the illness.

Researcher, Matthew DeGennaro from Florida International University, expects more cases as Zika-carrying Aedes aegypti mosquitos spread to other parts of the US.

UK and Australian citizen Scott Richards charged in Dubai


A man has been charged in Dubai for sharing a Facebook post that promoted a fundraising initiative to buy blankets and tarpaulins for refugees in Afghanistan.


Scott Richards, who holds British and Australian citizenship, has been charged for fundraising without permission.


The 42-year old economic development adviser was detained for 22 days before being charged.

US swimmer pays $11,000 to charity over fake robbery story

A US Olympic swimmer has agreed to pay 11-thousand dollars to a Brazilian charity after it emerged he and three others were involved in vandalising a petrol station in Rio...

Coalition talks to begin in Spain
