NBA Moving All Star Game Due to Anti-LGBT Legislation

The US National Basketball Association is moving its 2017 All Star Game out of North Carolina. 

The move is in response to legislation enacted in the state earlier this year that eliminated specific anti discrimination protections for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people. 

As US Correspondent Rachel Silverman reports the game was to be played in Charlotte…the new host city will be announced soon.

US policeman accused of shooting black man assisting autism patient

A Miami police officer is accused of shooting a black therapist while
he was trying to help a man with autism.

The Miami Police Department says they were responding to a call that
that the young man was attempting suicide with a gun.

Fox News Channel CEO Roger Ailes Is Out

The embattled CEO and chairman of Fox News Channel has resigned, following sexual harassment allegations. 

Roger Ailes founded the channel in 1996 with the financial backing of Rupert Murdoch.

US Refuses to Criticize Turkey Crack Down

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared a three month long state of emergency in the wake of last week's failed coup.

Turkey's parliament has now suspended a human rights pact with Europe and provided the government with broad powers to pursue those it accuses of supporting the coup attempt.

A wide range of academics, judges and human rights organizers have been detained.

Questioned by reporters, US State Department Spokesman John Kirby is refusing to say the  actions are "excesssive"...

Authorities arrest men for allegedly plotting Olympics terror attack

UK serviceman threatened with knife
