Obama alerted to Nice attack; Trump postpones VP announcement
The White House says President Obama has been alerted to the situation in Nice.
And Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump is postponing the announcement of his running mate because of the tragedy in the south of France.

BFM-TV: "60 dead, 100 injured" in apparent terror attack on Nice
Scores of people have been killed in the southern French city of Nice after an apparent terror attack on a crowd celebrating Bastille Day.
A truck drove into a crowd, and there were reports of gunshots being fired.
French TV station BFM is reporting that 60 people are dead and more than 100 people injured, and the city authorities are urging people in Nice to stay indoors.
Reporter Chris Golds is in the south of France and says the news has brought fear to people across the region.

There's been no claim of responsibility for the attack on Nice, but French counter-terrorism consultant Olivier Guetta says the country has recently joined air strikes against Islamic State targets in Iraq and Syria, and other terror groups elsewhere.

BFM TV: 30 dead in apparent terror strike on Nice Bastille Day crowd
As many as 30 people are reported to have been killed in an apparent terrorist attack in the French city of Nice.
A lorry drove into a crowd of people celebrating Bastille Day in the city.
There were then reports of gun-shots in the city, and people are being ordered to shelter in place.
Reporter Peter Allen in Paris says local authorities in Nice believe the incident is a terrorist attack.

US to possibly propose military plan to Russia targeting Al-Nusra in Syria
The United States is expected to put forward a new military proposal
to Russia as part of an initiative to limit attacks in Syria by
