US Supreme Court Justice apologizes to Trump for critical comments

One of America's Supreme Court justices is apologizing to Donald Trump after she called him a "faker".


Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who was appointed to the court by President Bill Clinton, says her comments were "ill-advised".

U.S. launches quiet diplomacy to ease South China Sea tensions

The United States is using quiet diplomacy to persuade South-East Asian nations to exercise caution on their reaction to an international court ruling on the South China Sea.

On Wednesday, China rejected a ruling by The Hague that it had no right to its territorial claims to the South China Sea.

UN warn of “pervasive impunity” in eastern Ukraine

The United Nations has warned that a sense of pervasive impunity in
eastern Ukraine has meant that few people have been help accountable
for alleged executions.

Close to 9,500 have died since fighting broke out in 2014 and the UN

French foreign minister calls his new UK counterpart a liar over brexit campaign

Excessive Use of Force Topic of White House Meeting

The American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana has filed a lawsuit against the Baton Rouge police department. 
The suit alleges police used excessive force to disperse people gathered to protest the fatal shooting of  Alton Sterling — a black man shot by a white policeman.

Excessive use of force by police was at the heart of a meeting at the White House today, as US Correspondent Rachel Silverman reports.
