South Korea picks THAAD site

South Korea has announced the site for its sophisticated US-made missile defense system, designed to protest the county against nuclear and missile threats from the North.

The US Terminal High Altitude Area Defence or THAAD is expected to be operational next year.

Telsa admits auto-pilot caused crash

Electric car maker Tesla has admitted one of its vehicles crashed as a
result of an auto pilot malfunction.

It's the second time a Telsa car has crashed while controlled by the
in-car computer.

He was a good man - Alton Sterling's son

Alton Sterling's son Cameron spoke to reporters to tell them that he knows his father was a good man.

Alton Sterling was shot to death by police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana last week, while selling music CDs outside a store.

His son's statement comes as U.S. President Barack Obama hosts community leaders and law enforcement for a discussion and strategy session on the recent spate of violence.

US rushes troops to Juba, South Sudan

The U.S. military has rushed about 40 U.S. forces to Juba, South Sudan.

Refugee camp hit in air raid, Syrian activists claim

Local activists claim at least 8 civilians were hit in an air attack on a refugee camp in south-western Syria close to Jordanian border. Unconfirmed reports allege Russian jets carried out the air raid. Moscow meanwhile confirmed it sent its bombers to hit terrorists targets - but in central Syria. Cameron faces last PMQs amid laughter and tributes

Britain is to have a new prime minister Wednesday as David Cameron steps down after 6 years in the job.  Mr Cameron announced his intention to resign at the end of June when he lost the referendum on the Brexit vote.  

Theresa May, who has held the post of Home Secretary for six years,  will become the new prime minister later Wednesday.

French court to rule on surveillance of Paris attack suspect Salah Abdeslam

A French court is set to rule on whether the sole surviving Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam is under illegal surveillance.

Her appointment comes after a dramatic few weeks in British politics, which has seen the UK vote to leave the European Union and out-going leader David Cameron resign.

Theresa May - who campaigned for the UK to stay within the EU - now has the task of negotiating Britain's exit from the Union as well as appointment her new Cabinet.
