Working fathers earn 21% more than men without children

Researchers in the UK say working fathers earn 21 per cent more than men without children...

But in contrast, figures show mothers earn 11 per cent less than women without children.

Brussels Metro Station Back Open

The Maelbeek metro station in central Brussels—one of two sites targeted by suicide bombers last month—has reopened.

A commemorative wall inside the metro station has been erected where passengers can write tributes.

EU and US resume talks on TTIP trade deal

European Union and US negotiators are resuming discussions on free trade deal between the two sides known as TTIP (Tee-tip).

The US president Barack Obama expressed his desire to get the deal signed before the end of the year while on a European visit at the weekend.

MILITARY SUPPORT FOR LIBYA ON AGENDA FOR G5

Support for Libya is one of the top agenda items as G5 leaders meet in Germany, with Britain refusing to rule out deploying troops to the country.

US President Barack Obama is meeting with the leaders of the UK, Germany, France and Italy in Hannover to discuss a raft of issues.

And Britain's foreign minister has raised the prospect of military support for Libya's government to attempt to drive the Islamic State from the country.

UK CHAIN BHS TO FILE FOR ADMINISTRATION

British high street chain BHS is set to file for administration, putting 11 000 jobs at risk.

Talks have been underway with parties interested in buying some of BHS's 164 stores, but that may not be enough to secure the future of the retail brand itself.

BHS's owners have been unable to secure funding for a turn-around plan for the fashion, furniture and homewares chain.

John Hannett from retail workers' union USDAW says BHS hasn't done enough to compete with its rivals.

Far Right Candidate Leads Austria's Presidential Race

Migrant Crisis on Agenda As Obama Meets European Leaders

Barack Obama is set to meet the four most senior EU leaders to discuss efforts to stem the flow of migrants into Europe.

Monday's talks in the German city of Hanover will involve the French President, Italian and British Prime Ministers, and the German chancellor.

Obama Talks Trade, Syria with Angela Merkel

US President Barack Obama has said he's confident that America and the European Union will manage to agree on a transatlantic trade deal by the end of this year.

Mr. Obama was speaking after a bilateral meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel in the German city of Hanover, where the two leaders have opened the world's largest industrial trade fair.

The President said he understood why trade deals often get negative reactions, but that an EU-US agreement would have advantages for both sides of the Atlantic:

U.S. President Barack Obama is skeptical about the offer by the North Koreans to halt their nuclear program.

8 dead in multiple shootings in Pike County, Ohio

Uber pays $100 million settlement in US

Uber has agreed to pay up to $100 million dollars in legal settlements.

Cost of FBI iPhone Hack More than a Million Dollars


The FBI paid more than a million dollars to hack into the iPhone used by one of the San Bernardino killers. 
That’s an estimate based on comments by FBI Director James Comey who compared the cost of the hack to his salary. 
Speaking at the Aspen Security Forum in London, Comey said the FBI paid a lot for the hacking tool, but he said it was worth it.

OBAMA: UK Brexit would see country go to "back of queue" on trade

OBAMA URGES BRITAIN TO STAY IN EU

US President Barack Obama has urged Britain to stay in the European Union, on a visit to the UK.

He says he encourages the British people 'as a friend' to vote for EU membership as a way of strengthening the Transatlantic Relationship as well as the fight against terrorism.

It comes ahead of an in-out referendum on Britain's EU membership in June.
