DNA of suspected Brussels suicide bomber found at Paris attack sites

The DNA of a second suspected suicide bomber in Tuesday's attacks on Brussels, has been found at the sites of the Paris attacks in November.

Federal prosecutors believe that 24 year-old Najim Laachraoui was the suspected bomb-maker involved in the Paris attacks, on November 13. 

The news that his DNA had been linked to the Paris attacks, came as three more people were arrested in Brussels in connection to Tuesday's attack on the city's metro and international airport.

Momentum against Islamic State - Def Sec. Carter

The tide has turned in favor of the U.S. and it's allies in the fight against the Islamic State.

Iraqi commanders told the Washington Post, the fighters on the ground have lost their morale, they refuse to follow orders and just run away.

The Belgian government has been criticized for failing to understand intelligence data on at least two of the Brussels bombers, with two top ministers offering their resignations.

The U.S. military estimates people from 100 countries have moved to areas controlled by the Islamic State, some to fight and some to be trained to commit acts of terror.

At the Pentagon, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joe Dunford said intelligence sharing is key, and on the military side, has increased significantly.

Police in Belgium have arrested a man in the capital Brussels in connection with Tuesday's terrorist attacks...

The arrest follows a raid in the city.

'Russian soldier's' lawyer found dead

LEAD:


The lawyer of two Russian servicemen on trial in Ukraine has been found dead after disappearing in the middle of his trial in Kiev.  Yuriy Hrabovsky's body was found in a forest 125km south of Kiev.  Officials in Ukraine say two men were in custody in connection with the lawyer's death.  Julia Lyubova has the details.

Corporate profits dip but GDP figure revised up in Q4

The United States economy grew more than previously expected in the
fourth quarter thanks to stronger than expected consumer spending.

Gross domestic product for Q4 has been revised up to an annualized
rate of 1.4% instead of the previously predicted 1%.

But it's still shy of the 2% figure posted in the third quarter as
corporate profits fell again.

Briton confirmed dead in Brussels Attacks

The UK Foreign Office has confirmed that a British citizen has died in the terror attacks in Brussels.


David Dixon had been missing since Tuesday, when suicide bombers detonated twin attacks at the Zaventem airport and at a metro station.

US Tech Firms Call For UK Spy Bill Update

US tech giants Apple, Facebook, Google, Twitter, Microsoft and Yahoo
have for the first time jointly set out concerns over the UK's
Investigatory Powers Bill, pushing for more clarity on issues like
encryption and a better framework for demands from different
