Britain's tallest mountain taller than previously thought

Britain's tallest mountain - Ben Nevis - is taller than originally thought.

MIGRANT 'DEAL' PUT TO TURKEY

EU leaders have agreed a proposal to put to Turkey as part of efforts to ease Europe's migrant crisis.

Under the suggested deal, all migrants travelling to Greece from Turkey would be sent back.

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is in Brussels for talks on the proposals.

But EU correspondent Jack Parrock says Turkey is being offered a package in return for agreeing to the migrant plans.

Landmines used by both government and rebel forces in eastern Ukraine - media report

The Ukrainian military has revealed it is deploying anti-personnel mines in the restive region of Donbass in the East of the country. The practice, reportedly used by both the government troops and the pro-Russia rebels, is a setback to decades of international efforts to prohibit the use of explosive devices targeting civilians. EU Continues to Negotiate with Turkey For Refugee Deal

The leaders of the 28 European Union member states have met, and Friday in Brussels EU negotiators will take take their wishes to Turkey's Prime Minister. 

Most EU leaders hope they'll be able to strike a deal with Turkey in order for the country to take back future refugees and migrants who arrive in Greece.

New Yorker Sentenced to Over 22 Years In Prison For IS Recruitment

A 32 year old man from the US state of New York has been sentenced to over 22 years in prison for attempting to recruit members and raise funds for the Islamic State group.

Mufid Elfgeeh, from Rochester, was the first American accused of such a crime.

US theme park SeaWorld to phase out breeding orcas in captivity

The US theme park SeaWorld announced it will end breeding of orca
whales, marking the last generation of putting these animals in
captivity. SeaWorld has come under heavy fire from activists over the
last few years for their treatment of their killer whales.

Congressional Panel angry over Flint, Michigan water contamination

The governor of Michigan and the EPA administrator faced tough questioning over how so many people now have lead poisoning thanks to drinking the public water in Flint, Michigan.

The city of Flint changed the source of it's water, but did not follow proper procedures to make sure lead and other contaminants didn't pollute the public drinking water.
