To Increase Diversity, Hollywood's Academy Expands Leadership

Hollywood's Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences followed through
with their promise to diversify their leadership Tuesday, by adding
nine new members who will focus on integrating fresh voices and points
of view to the award nomination process. The group came under fire for
only recognizing white actors at this year's Academy Awards show.

Trump Wins Big on 'Mini Super Tuesday' But Loses Key State of Ohio

Donald Trump has been celebrating winning US Republican primary votes in Florida, Illinois and North Carolina.

The New York property tycoon dealt a death blow to the campaign of rival Marco Rubio, who dropped out of the race on Tuesday night. 

But he himself was beaten by John Kasich in Ohio, preventing Donald Trump sweeping the board and potentially increasing the chances of a contested convention in July.

Hillary Clinton Wins Primaries in Ohio And Florida

Hillary Clinton has won the US Democratic primaries in two key states, Ohio and Florida.

The former Secretary of State beat her rival, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, by clear margins in both contests on Tuesday.  

Mr. Sanders had hoped to pull off an upset in Ohio, which is close to Michigan where he unexpectedly beat Mrs. Clinton last week. 

Speaking in West Palm Beach, she said her campaign is getting closer to securing the nomination.

Marco Rubio Suspends US Presidential Campaign After Loss in Florida

Florida Senator Marco Rubio has suspended his presidential campaign after a big loss to Donald Trump in the Florida Republican primary.

Mr. Rubio said that although his campaign was, as he put it, 'on the right side', this year, it would not be 'on the winning side'.

5 US States Go To the Polls in 'Little Super Tuesday'

Voters in 5 US states have been casting ballots this Tuesday as the race to decide who will run for the White House reaches a crucial point.

Republicans and Democrats in Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina and Ohio have all been going to the polls, with Donald Trump hoping for a clean sweep that would put his nomination beyond doubt. 

Hillary Clinton's also hoping to strengthen her lead over Bernie Sanders on the Democratic side. 

And speaking in North Carolina, the former Secretary of State said she's ready to take on Donald Trump too:

Update: Brussels Police Search Winding Down

Belgian media outlets are reporting the intense police search for suspects following a shootout is now winding down.

The exchange of gunfire erupted as Belgian and French police were carrying out an anti-terror raid just outside of Brussels connected to last years Paris attacks.

US wants to see how Russian withdrawal from Syria progresses

Russia will continue conducting air strikes in Syria, said Russian Deputy Defence Minister Nikolay Pankov, just one day after President Vladimir Putin announced some forces are coming home.

The news was welcomed by U.N. special envoy Staffan de Mistura, who is shepherding political talks in Geneva.

One suspect neutralized in Brussels counter-terror raids

One suspect has been neutralized following counter-terror raids by Belgian and French police in a southern neighborhood of Brussels.

Controversy Over Proposal to Resume Strikes Against Taliban

A senior American general has proposed resuming offensive strikes against the Taliban in Afghanistan. 
According to the Washington Post, senior Pentagon officials say General John F. Campbell forwarded his proposal directly to the White House, without the knowledge of the US Secretary of Defense.
