Greek government faces fresh protests over reforms

Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras is to meet with farmers' unions on Monday - after weeks of protests have blocked highways all over the country.
The farmers are furious over pension cuts and tax measures that lie at the heart of the reform package Tsipras must pass to get Greece's next loan instalment from its creditors.

Amnesty International accuses Russia of egregious war crimes for its actions in Syria

Provisional agreement reached on Syrian ceasefire

BORIS JOINS 'BREXIT' CAMPAIGN

London Mayor Boris Johnson has announced he will campaign for Britain to leave the European Union.

He joins six cabinet ministers on the leave side ahead of a referendum on the UK's EU membership in June.

It comes after Prime Minister David Cameron won a package of EU reforms at a summit in Brussels - he will campaign for Britain to stay in the EU.

Asian Americans protest Peter Liang conviction

More than 30 American cities witnessed protests by the Asian American community over the conviction of New York City police officer Peter Liang on charges of second degree murder.

His defence maintains, the death of  Akai Gurley, an African American civilian, was an accident...and the Asian American community say Peter Liang is a scape goat for deeper problems.

Hillary Clinton wins Nevada Caucuses

Hillary Clinton has won the Nevada Caucuses by a narrow margin over rival Bernie Sanders.

She is trying to emphasize that she knows what help the average and middle class American needs, even stealing a page from rival Bernie Sanders to appeal to young people.

Hillary Clinton thanked voters before flying to Texas for another rally.

Museveni wins Uganda's Election

President Yoweri Museveni has been declared winner of Uganda's elections for a fifth term.


The elections have been marred by violence and the European Union observer mission says it was full of intimidation.

Yoweri Museveni won Uganda's election by a 60% majority. 


Main Opposition candidate Kiiza Besigye followed with 35%.


Besigye was under house arrest when the results were being announced. 


The police says it was a measure to stop him from protesting the results.


There were no celebrations on the streets of the capital Kampala after Museveni's win was announced. 


Tension remains high in Kampala with the military and the police deployed…. 


On the streets, some Ugandans said the elections were fraudulent. 


Hours of delays during the the polling exercise left many frustrated leading to chaos in some parts of the city.


The European Union says the elections lacked transparency.


Museveni's in gives him a 5th term, making him one of the longest serving leaders in Africa.

UK Prime Minister on his EU Reform Package

UK Prime Minister David Cameron is returning to London with his EU reform package approved by the European Council.

The package includes cutting welfare benefits to EU migrants and a guarantee that the UK does not have to further integrate into the EU.
